Alexandra Bryan
Alexandra has had rhythm since she could walk and has danced since the age of 3. She attended a local dance school but as a gifted dancer she went on to train at The Hammond School in Chester gaining a National Diploma in Dance with Honours. She was Head Student in her final year and Dance Captain of their Dance Company Taudevan.
Her break into TV came in 2004 at the age of 16 when she successfully auditioned for Bump’n’Grind, a dance competition on Trouble TV. She was Louis Spence’s ‘Wild Card’ and was one of the finalists in the competition.
After completing her training Alexandra was chosen as one of 16 (8 female) dancers for Living TV’s “Dirty Dancing the Time of Your Life” and was one of the couples that reached the final of the competition held in America.
Under Gary Lloyd’s direction Alexandra has enjoyed performances on BBC1’s “The One and only” and also ITV’s “Britain’s Got Talent”. Her commercial dance background has involved backing Inaya Day with her hit single “Nasty Girl”; appearing in the video, Top of the Pops, CD:UK and on tour. She was also a feature dancer in 50 Cent/Justin Timberlake’s video “Ayo Technology” and Bryan Adams vs Pascal video “Run to You”.
Alexandra’s theatre work has included the Tsunami Benefit Show at the Palace Theatre, Manchester and she has also appeared in pantomime at the Neptune Theatre and Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool.
One of her special moments was appearing in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance, held in her home town of Liverpool, backing David Jordan’s “Sun Goes Down.”
This is Alexandra’s first European tour and she is delighted to be part of this fantastic show and to be working with Gary again. She would like to thank him for this opportunity and her family, partner and friends for their consistent love and support “Thanks for believing in me”.
